The HIM mental health programming is designed to support self-identified gay, bi, queer men and gender-diverse people in improving their mental wellness, addressing their mental health needs, and exploring ways in which mental health impacts other areas of their lives.
The HIM Individual Counselling programs connects participants with a counsellor/therapist who has professional counselling, psychology or other related credentials. Our professional counsellors are registered mental health practitioners (Social workers, Counsellors, psychologists and registered interns) who employ a variety of styles of psychological interventions and support participants who might be struggling with anxiety, depression, coming out, identity, relationships/communication, self-esteem, loneliness, self-exploration, amongst others. HIM counsellors have lived experience or prior professional experience working with gender-diverse communities, and aim to create a safe, welcoming environment where you can explore whatever is troubling your psychological/emotional well-being.
